THE MAGICIAN

...............................Directs The Attention

The Magician or Magus is given the number one in the Major Arcana. There are twenty two cards in the Major Arcana. Twenty one are numbered cards and the Fool is zero. The Magician is posed ready to create. With his wand, he draws down that from above (spirit) and directs it into matter. His four tools correspond to the four elements. They also appear in the Minor Arcana as the four suits often called wands; cups; pentacles and swords. (these descriptive terms vary from deck to deck) Wands are often assoicated with Fire and correspond to spirit. Swords correspond to air and the realm of the mind. Cups correspond to water and represent the emotions. The pentacles represent earth as well as material life of money; nature; posessions. The tools of the Magician are the same tools we're all given to create our life.
The Magician reminds us that we are all "captains of our own ship" and having been given Free Will, we need to learn how to use it. We can direct the attention in our own life and hone our ability to focus and visualize in order to create a life that's meaningful to us. In order to Be Yourself you first have to Know Yourself. The Tarot is a great tool for starting this process. Knowing what your true will is comes from knowing your true self.

TAROT READINGS

Y tarot readings

I've dedicated several decades to ongoing studies of the Tarot; symbolism; mysticism; metaphysics; psychology and more. My knowledge of symbolism as well as my intuition have benefited from this art. I read with several different decks and I have several approaches I take when doing a reading. My approach depends on the reason for the reading. The Tarot can be used for problem solving; decision making; gaining clarity; easing emotional pain; answering a specific question as well as questioning our purpose here on earth and how to move forward in accordance with our deepest self. It's not necessary to have a question when requesting a reading.

You may contact me via email at RimaBell@aol.com so we can discuss the reading. The cost of the readings is based on the depth of a reading. I also offer Tarot readings in combination with the I Ching. These are what I call Life Readings and are $60. I accept PayPal at RimaBell@aol.com. You can choose the reading; send payment to PayPal and then email me and we'll discuss why you're requesting a reading, if you have a specific reason that is. All readings are totally confidential.

Reading Prices are:

$25 ~ The one question reading for clarifying a situation; making a decision or solving a problem. I go as deeply into the question as is needed to get a feeling for what's really going on.

$40 ~ for a multiple question reading. This is a good reading when you find yourself in a situation that is pressing and insights are needed. I always address the physical; emotional; mental and spiritual in in-depth readings.

$60 ~ This reading is a full layout of the cards in what's called a spread and can shed light on numerous issues in your life including the past; present and future. I will address all of your questions within reason. I also cast the I Ching if further clarity is needed. This type of reading will address where you are in your life and where you will be headed. It offers advice as to how to accomplish your goals.

Readings are pre-paid via PayPal to RimaBell@aol.com, and will be sent to you via email, within 48 hours unless otherwise specified.

To be yourself; first you have to know yourself. Knowledge is power.

TAROT CARDS?

The Tarot is a deck of 78 cards. The cards numbered from one to twenty one are called Trumps. These make up the Major Arcana. The card labeled zero is most commonly called The Fool, which some consider to be part of the Major Arcana. If viewed this way, there would then actually be 23 cards in the Major Arcana. The remaining 56 cards referred to as the Minor Arcana are divided into four suits. Each suit contains numbered cards one through ten as well as four cards representing people. The four people cards found in each of suits are called the court cards. These four court cards are often called the page; knight; queen and king. The four suits which make up the 56 cards of the Minor Arcana are often labeled cups; swords; pentacles and wands. In this description of the Tarot deck I use the terms 'often' and 'commonly', because there are many Tarot decks which sometimes choose to use different terms to describe the cards in the Major Arcana; the court cards and the four suits as well. Later I'll be discussing the known origins of Tarot; it's uses; types of decks and more.

The Magician pictured above is number one in the Major Arcana. As you can see, his four tools are the wand; cup; sword and pentacle. These four suits correspond to the four elements of earth (pentacles); air (swords); fire (wands) and water (cups). Again, some deck designers have presented these correspondences differently; particularly by switching fire and air. Here you would find the swords referring to fire and the wands referring to air. This correspondence is not one I choose to use when reading the Tarot.
